man on wire

Have just re-read The Man Who Walked Between The Towers by Mordicai Gerstein. It won the Caldecot Medal for his just-right illustrations, but the story, of how Philippe Petit walked on a wire between the two towers is superbly told. Sam and I both enjoyed it.

Then we watched the animated version of the book, made by Michael Sporn for Weston Woods. (Why is there stuff so hard to get in Europe??)

This film was an “extra” on the great documentary “Man on Wire” which we’ve started watching, but had to call off for bedtime…
